The Jones County Development Authority announced today a company that services the energy and mining industry will move to the county’s Griswoldville Park.
NFI Installation is moving its headquarters to Middle Georgia from Oregon. The company provides services to the energy and mining industries through providing coal handling capabilities, including fabrication, rehabilitation and maintenance throughout the United States, according to a news release from the development authority.
Alan Nippert, president of NFI, cited the proximity of the Atlanta airport, access to highways, rail access, and the Port of Savannah as some reasons why it was a good idea to move to Jones County.
The company expects to expand and hire more employees in the future. It is expected to begin operation in Spring of 2011.
