Feagin Mill Middle School Cashes in by Recycling

Feagin Mill Middle School has found a way to raise money through recycling, and this fundraising effort puts Feagin Mill in the top 6% of schools across the nation for its recycling program.

Thanks to  a partnership with The FundingFactory the school has raised close to $800 in the last two years.  Feagin Mill has bought a pair of wireless Smart Airliners, a new technological tool to help students learn.

Computer Teacher Brian Lewis, said, ” For us it gives us another tool to provide some technology here from recycling.”

The partnership works by having students, parents, and local businesses bring in old ink cartridges and cell phones for  recycling. Each item that’s brought in earns the school points along the way. Those points then turn into a dollar amount for the school to spend on new supplies.

If you are interested in donating old ink cartridges or cell phones you can drop them off at the front office at the school.

Feagin Mill Middle School is located at 1200 Feagin Mill Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
