The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce has hired April Bragg to take over as CEO.
Bragg worked at BB&T Bank as a mortgage loan officer for the past six years.
Chamber Board Chair, Lyn Chandler says Bragg’s enthusiasm will help reenergize the organization.
She will start her new job June 20th.
Bragg is a 2000 graduate of Georgia College where she earned degrees in Theatre and Marketing. For the past 10 years, April has served as the local program director for Distinguished Young Women of Milledgeville-Baldwin County (formerly Milledgeville-Baldwin’s Junior Miss) scholarship program receiving national recognition for outstanding achievement, and she was also named Hands on Milledgeville’s 2010 Volunteer of the Year for her involvement with the organization.
She currently serves on Milledgeville MainStreet/DDA board of directors, Deep Roots Festival committee, Partners for Progress, and Live Healthy Baldwin. April and her family are active members of Northridge Christian Church.
Under this new director, the Chamber hopes to increase member participation and to foster beneficial business partnerships.
The Chamber also seeks to raise community awareness of local events and businesses and to create new fundraising opportunities to help support the Chamber and its members.
