First Player from Veterans High School Commits on Signing Day

KATHLEEN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Veterans High School in Houston County had it’s very first college football recruit.

Corner Back, Corey Parks, signed with NAIA school, Point University.  It’s just the second varsity football season for the Warhawks. Parks tells 41 NBC he hopes to start a long tradition of Warhawk players taking their talents to the collegiate level.  “I get to say I was the first… It’s all about tradition up here, and legacies that you leave behind,” said Parks.

Defensive Coordinator of the Veterans Football team, Scott Lamb told 41NBC, “Corey really grew from last year to this year and became an excellent cover corner. Corey’s best attribute is really his speed, and that’s something he parlayed into a college arena. “

Corey plans to major in business and open a vegan restaurant when he graduates.
