JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Saturday break-in into a Twiggs County home could be linked to a Tatnall county escaped inmate who authorities believed wrecked a stolen pick-up truck on Highway 96 in Twiggs County.
The sheriff’s office is working to determine if fingerprints left inside the home match those of Chad Everette Dasher.
Dasher is wanted for breaking out of the Tatnall County jail last month. He was believed to have been in the Twiggs County area on Thursday. A deputy, spotted a pick-up truck on highway 96 that was stolen out of Long County.
Twiggs County Chief Deputy Billy Boney says someone stole a shotgun, a rifle and a .22 caliber hand gun, along with a large knife and television.
The thief also took a 1986 Volvo from the home located on highway 96, near the same area where the stolen truck was was found sitting upright in a ditch, Thursday.
Sheriff Derren Mitchum says deputies never actually laid eyes on Dasher during a county-wide search on Thursday and Friday.
