This request comes after an audit revealed Dallemand spent millions of dollars without going through the proper procedures.
Jones wrote a letter to U.S. attorney, Michael Moore, asking him to lead an investigation into Dallemand’s actions during his tenure with the school system. Jones beleives it’s time to set the record straight, and the community’s reputation will be at risk, until an investigation is complete.
He specifically asked for Moore to issue "multiple subpoenas to all key people including suppliers involved in contracts of $500,000 or more and authorize a federal grand jury to begin the investigation of what appears to be serious criminal activity."
Jones said as part of his official capacity as a Macon-Bibb commissioner, it’s his duty to act in the best interest of the entire county, that’s why he’s asking for the investigation.
