Randall defeats Harvey in Georgia House District 142 race

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – State Rep. Nikki Randall (D-Macon) wins the race against her opponent Gerald Harvey by 713 votes.

Randall beat Harvey 58-42 percent in the District 142 Georgia House election.

“This means I’m back to complete those projects that I want to work on,” Randall says, “One, making sure that Macon-Bibb is taking the lead in a region concept in Middle Georgia…We’re going to take the lead and we’re to have our second shot at TSPLOST, and that’s going to be top priority for me."

Harvey lost against Randall before in the 2012 election.

Randall has been in office since 1999.
