Warner Robins police investigating fatal shooting


WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is facing murder and several other charges after Warner Robins police say he shot a man Thursday night.

According to a news release from WRPD, the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. at 211 Utah Avenue. Police say 34-year-old Marcus Hopkins of Warner Robins was shot in the front yard of the home. He was taken to a Macon hospital where he later died.

WRPD identified the shooter as 22-year-old Jade Danielly of Macon. Police say he drove a car to the home off Utah Avenue and shot Hopkins.

Officers saw the car in the area and followed it to Tanglewood Apartments off Elberta Road where Danielly was arrested.

Danielly is charged with murder, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
