Man shot, beaten in the face in Payne City

PAYNE CITY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 33-year old Cedric Davis is in jail, charged with aggravated assault.  Investigators say he shot 34-year old Anthony Hewitt in the face and hit him in his head and face with a gun.  
Deputies were called to Davis’ home on Gardner Street in Payne City, just after 5:30pm Saturday.  They say the shooting stemmed from an argument that became violent.
