NFL star Charles Johnson returns to Hawkinsville this weekend

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Carolina Panthers’ defensive end Charles Johnson will be back in his hometown this weekend.

His third annual "Sports Academy and Community Weekend" will be held Friday and Saturday at Hawkinsville High School.  He’s bringing his NFL and NBA buddies with him to help teach several sports clinics.
There will be food and inflatables for the kids Friday night and a college fair Saturday.

Don’t forget to bring your pens!  Charles and the other players will be available for autographs.  Among those expected to come are former Georgia tight end Leonard Pope and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn.
