The Bulldogs were able to put up a lot of points on the board last season, but as Coach Harris says, just not when they really needed to score. Regardless, he feels his program is finally starting to come together, "A couple of games that we lost this past season, we were up at halftime… we just couldn’t close," Harris said, "We’ve been getting stronger, we’re getting faster, we’re doing a better job of getting the kids in the right positions."
The Bulldogs will only have four offensive starters returning for 2014, but one of them will be quarterback Montkevious Fluellen, which Coach Harris believes to be a significant factor, "Having a guy at the quarterback position that understands what you want is very important."
There will be a little bit more experience coming back on the defensive side of things, with six starters returning for the Bulldogs. That includes linebacker Jermaine Reynolds, who Harris will lean on as his anchor on defense.
Hancock Central’s first game will be August 29th, against Baldwin County.
