Houston County beats Veterans in first meeting

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Houston County quarterback Jake Fromm threw for more than 400 yards, leading the Class AAAAA Bears to an easy win over AAAA Veterans Thursday in the first meeting between the two teams.

Playing at McConnell-Talbert Stadium, the site of Friday’s The Endzone Game of the Week between Peach County and Warner Robins, HoCo beat the Warhawks 46-27.

Logan Byrd, a four-star quarterback in the 2016 class according to Rivals.com, had more than 200 yards passing for Veterans, adding 135 yards on the ground, but his two interceptions hurt the Warhawks’ chances of starting their season with a win.
