MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – There was something different about the Mercer Bears at their first football home game. Each player had the "Macon Made" seal on their helmet.

This is part of a new campaign from The College Hill Alliance to instill a sense of pride in Macon residents and to promote local products.

Nadia Osman from The College Hill Alliance said the seal was designed by Jason Frost.
Frost partnered with The College Hill Alliance to expand the campaign. They’re encouraging local businesses to put the seal on their products, but campaign officials said it’s about more than just merchandise.

Osman said Macon Made extends to people and that’s why they partnered with Mercer University. 

Kaye Hlavaty is the principal of St. Joseph’s School and she said she put a "Macon Made" seal right on the front door. She thinks this campaign is a great way to instill pride in Macon residents.
