School Officials announced a one-million dollar transformation plan on Thursday.
They want to tear down two abandoned homes near Rose Place and Orange Street to create a new entrance. They also plan to add more green space and pedestrian crossings.
We feel that we offer such a high quality academic and spiritual program, but the truth of the matter is, that we needed to update our facilities in order to provide the best possible environment for our students," explained Mount de Sales Academy President, David Held.
Held adds the biggest part of the transformation will be a Student Plaza in part of the gym.
Officials expect the project to take a little more than a year to complete. The money for the transformation is coming from different donors.
