Thousands stolen during Riverside BP robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The BP gas station at 4765 Riverside Drive was victim to commercial robbery around 4:45 Sunday morning.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. It says two suspects pointed black revolvers at the clerk.

They demanded scratch offs and money from the cash register.

Once the suspects took the cash and scratch offs, they fled the store in an unknown direction.

"They ended up stealing between $2,000 to $3,000 dollars," station owner Deepak Bajaj said. "I am just glad nobody was hurt during the theft."

One suspect was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants. He also had on a dark hood and a mask that covered his face.

The second suspect was wearing dark coveralls and a dark ski mask.

Both suspects were wearing white gloves.
