ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Judicial Nominating Commission submitted recommendations to fill vacancies within the Superior Court of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit.
A list of four names was submitted to Governor Nathan Deal:
Dawn M. Baskin, Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit
Alison T. Burleson, Assistant District Attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit and an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law
Fredric D. Bright, District Attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit
Brenda Holbert Trammell, sole practitioner at Brenda Holbert Trammell, Attorney at Law
The vacancies were created by the resignation of the Honorable Hulane E. Georgia and the passing of the Honorable James J. Cline. Governor Deal will fill the vacancies from the list and will contact the candidates to schedule interviews.
The Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit covers Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, Putnam, and Wilkinson counties.
