Beverly (D-District 143) says medical marijuana will be on everyone’s mind this year. He believes it will be a very interesting debate and has no doubt that the bill will pass.
The lawmaker says Payne City could be brought up this year in regards to the Macon-Bibb consolidation charter. He says the residents spoke by voting against consolidation, but he is working with the mayor to come up with “something that makes some sense.”
Beverly says lawmakers could take a look at how the districts are drawn. The lawmaker says he is concerned about “the way the politics have been gerrymandered.”
The 2015 Georgia General Assembly convenes on January 12.
