The funeral service starts at 11 a.m. at the Macon City Auditorium.
During the service, Cotton Avenue to Riverside Drive on First Street will be shut down. Poplar Street northbound will also be closed between First and Second Streets. The intersections will remain open.
The roads will start closing Monday morning as vehicles start to arrive.
There will be a procession after the service to the grave site at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
It will leave from Macon City Auditorium on First Street and pass the Macon-Bibb County Government Center. It will continue toward the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department’s headquarters and then take a left onto Ogelthorpe Street. From there, the procession will turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and then turn left on to Pio Nono Avenue. It will then turn right on to Houston Avenue and end at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
During the procession, all the roads on the route will be completely shut down.
Lt. Parker lost his life Wednesday night while fighting a house fire on Fairview Drive in Macon. Five other firefighters were injured.
