MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The GMC Prep School rifle qualifies for the Civilian Marksmanship Program Regional Championship.

The event, which takes place April 9-11 in Anniston, Alabama, will feature 640 regional participants made up of 55 teams and 45 individual qualifiers, according to a GMC release. The GMC team shot a team score of 1,095 at a recent event to earn a spot in the South East Region.

The Anniston event is one of three regional championships. The results from all three events–in Anniston; Camp Perry, Ohio; and Sandy, Utah–will be combined to determine which teams and individuals advance to the national championship in June.
