Production at Perdue Farms plant was evacuated for approximately three hours when what turned out to be a hoax bomb threat was called into the Houston County 911 Center around 7:30 a.m. on February 4th.
"It cost the company more than a hundred thousand dollars to shut down, so they could clear out the building," said Macon Regional Crimestoppers Executive Director Chris Paul.
Paul said a woman called and told the dispatcher there were several bombs inside the plant that were set to go off every hour.
Firefighters and investigators evacuated the plant to allow canine dogs to search for bombs throughout the building, but they did not find any bombs.
Macon Regional Crimestoppers is also looking to offer a reward, depending on the response to the Perdue Farms reward.
