ALAMO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wheeler County sheriff’s deputies arrested seven people this month with about $10,000 worth of drugs.

Sheriff Maurice Johnson tells 41NBC his deputies made five different traffic stops with the help of Georgia State Patrol officers and the Oconee Drug Task Force.

"Based on what they had and the amount they had, they were going to distribute. They’d have to. Unless they use a lot of dope, and I would feel sorry for them if they use that much," said Sheriff Johnson.
