After defeating Westover in the first round of the playoffs in 2014, the Bulldogs were beaten by Buford by a final score of 35-14. However, 2015 may prove to be a challenge to repeat a 9-3 season as 17 starters from last year will need to be replaced.
The offense scored nearly 20 points-per-game, and will be returning quarterback Jake Johnston and wide receiver Justin Stroud.
Coach Nelson says the bulk of the players gone will be on the defensive side of the ball, including the majority of the secondary. Last year’s team had kept six opponents to less than 10 points a game, and had four shutouts.
The Bulldogs kick-off their 2015 season at home against Jackson on August 28th, and will host Washington County on September 4th.
