Macon man arrested in connection to May shooting


MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Southeast Fugitive Task Force along with Bibb County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 20-year-old man wanted for his alleged involvement in a May shooting.

Jamarcus Dewayne Morgan was arrested around 2 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Pansy Avenue, according to John Edgar, the supervisor of the task force John Edgar

Morgan is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, misdemeanor stalking, failure to appear finger printable charge, two counts of criminal damage to property, terroristic threats and acts, and willful obstruction of a peace officer.

The May shooting happened on Montpelier Avenue, according to Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the sheriff’s office.

No one was injured in the incident.

Morgan is in the Bibb County Jail without bond.
