Jones County was 7-2 in their region, and came away with wins from traditional powers Northside and Warner Robins. In the playoffs, the Greyhounds reached the state quarterfinals before losing in a shootout to Mays, 44-41.
One of the keys to the team’s success was their ability to put points on the board, averaging 37 points a game. Quarterback Bradley Hunnicutt finished with 18 touchdowns on the year for a total of 2,663 yards. He’ll be returning in 2015.
The defense allowed 22.5 points per game last year, and have Tyric and Terell Solomon coming back to the secondary.
First game for the Greyhounds will be on August 28th, against Morgan County.
