UPDATE: Macon forgery suspect arrested in Jones County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Amber Leigh McCallister of Gray for an outstanding warrant.

Investigators told Bibb deputies this is the same woman wanted for forgery, identity theft and theft by receiving stolen property in Bibb County.

McCallister was taken to Bibb County and booked into jail on theft and forgery charges. Her bond is set at $8,500.

The sheriff’s office credits Crimestoppers tips that help lead to McCallister’s identity and arrest.


MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman tried to cash a stolen check with a stolen driver’s license Tuesday.

It happened at the State Bank at 2918 Riverside Drive. She’s wanted for forgery, identity theft and theft by receiving stolen property.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for her.
