Nurse shares stroke symptoms, prevention methods

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – says stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States. 

Navicent Health Stroke Coordinator Denise Goings notes almost every 40 seconds someone is having a stroke. 

Goings adds symptoms of stroke are: 

  • Sudden weakness in the body
  • Trouble speaking 
  • Blurred/loss of vision
  • Loss of balance 
  • Headaches
