MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon County Bulldogs will enter the 2015 season with a new head coach. However, he’s a familiar face when it comes to Middle Georgia football, as Dexter Copeland lead the Twiggs County Cobras a year ago.

Coach Copeland will be inheriting an offense that was high scoring, averaging nearly 33 points a game. They’ll have several key players returning to the squad, including quarterback Kehory Lane.

The defense allowed only 15 points a game last season, which included a stretch of three straight shutouts. They’ll try to replicate that number again this year, but without star player Roquan Smith, who will be suiting up for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2015.

First game for the Bulldogs will on August 28th against Americus-Sumter.
