PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man accused of kidnapping and robbing a Hawkinsville man is in the Pulaski County Jail.  Deondre Haynes was arrested Tuesday following the incident.

Investigators tell 41NBC Terrance Scott was wearing nothing except his underwear and a hat when he flagged down a Perry Police officer on Third Street.  According to the incident report, Scott told police he got inside Haynes’ car in Hawkinsville and was told he would be killed.  Haynes allegedly pulled a gun out and made Scott undress. He took Scott’s cell phone and "everything else he had."  There were two other men inside the car.

"Scott stated he was able to get away when the subjects turned down an alley where a tree was blocking the road and a car was coming," added the report. "Scott stated he grabbed the black and camo long tech/AK style rifle as he was getting out in fear for his life."

Perry Police found Hayes at 1507 Houston Lake Road.

"I pointed my weapon at the suspect, and with loud verbal commands I told the suspect to ‘get on the ground.’ The suspect immediately lied on the ground (on his back.) I kept cover on the suspect while officer Laster handcuffed the suspect. The handcuffs were doubled locked," according to the report.

Haynes was taken to the Perry Police Department for questioning and later taken to the Pulaski County Jail.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at 478-783-1521.
