Red Cross encouraging blood donations to support cancer patients

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Pink may be the color for October, but the American Red Cross wants you to think red.

The organization is encouraging donors to give blood during Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Red Cross says the donations will support cancer patients and others needing blood products.

There are several upcoming blood donation opportunities across Middle Georgia:
