Macon Charter Academy releases improvement response plan

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Charter Academy released an improvement response after the state school board placed the school on probation.

The Bibb school board pointed out five areas of concern within the school, including leadership, teaching and learning, fiscal management, human resources, and operations.

The state placed the academy on probation last week.

The Bibb County School District discovered problems after a series of complaints from parents including the way the school operates.

41NBC reached out to Macon Charter Academy, but we haven’t heard back.

MCA’s next school board meeting is October 20th at 6 p.m. The school has until November 6th to implement the plan or the Bibb Board of Education will terminate the school’s charter contract.
