Mayhem beats Columbus in overtime

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Mayhem overcame a 1-0 deficit Sunday to beat Columbus for the third time this season.

Daniel Gentzler tied the game with just 1:38 to go and added another goal with three seconds left in overtime to lift Macon (10-12-3) to the 2-1 win.

The Mayhem held Columbus (10-10-5) to just 26 shots. Cody Freeman scored the Cottomouths’ only goal with 1:55 left in the first period.

Knoxville (9-15-3) visits Macon Friday at 7:35.
