Fire Chief: High winds challenge firefighters in Macon warehouse fire

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb firefighters were successful in putting out a warehouse fire on Riggins Mill Road in Macon.

41NBC confirmed the fire through the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center around 12:30 p.m. There was no word on injuries.

41NBC’s Skyler Henry was at the scene and spoke to fire chief Marvin Riggins.  Chief Riggins said that he was pretty confident the fire started in eastern part of the building.

About 50 firefighters have been working the scene and no injuries have been reported. The warehouse was the site of GoGreen BioProducts, LLC until September 2014.
