MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The pinkest party on Earth is almost ready to open its doors at Central City Park.
Food vendors were cleaning their areas as rides were being tested. Event organizers are expecting between 75,000 and 125,000 people this year based on previous year’s numbers. Visitors will see more attractions this year.
“We have two new Ferris wheels that will be here this year. We have more rides this year than we ever have before. There’s just a demand for the rides. That’s what people love to come down here for,” said Catherine Harmon, the Cherry Blossom Festival’s Director of Programming.
There will also be animals at this year’s event including a Bengal tiger show.
The Cherry Blossom Festival at Central City Park opens Friday, March 25 at 11 a.m.
