MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dozens of families enjoyed music, vendors and history at Macon’s Terminal Station during its 100th anniversary celebration Saturday.
The event was held to shed light on Macon’s rich culture.
Vendors showed different types of art while visitors enjoyed jazz music.
“What were trying to do is use art and cultures to bring disparate elements to the Macon community together. I think that sometimes we have very strong culture elements in community, artistic elements in the community, but they serve a very narrow group,” said Creighton Rosental, the event organizer.
Terminal Station will keep signs of segregated bathrooms and chairs up in order to preserve the building’s history.
