Charles Johnson, Roger Jackson holding camps this weekend

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Carolina Panthers’ Charles Johnson will hold his fifth annual free Sports Academy and Community Weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Students in first through 12th grades can participate in sports and educational clinics in football, basketball, dance, tennis, cheer and STEM.

It’s all at Hawkinsville High School. Registration starts there Friday at 11 a.m.

32nd Annual Camp Saturday Night in Macon

Macon native and former Denver Bronco Roger Jackson will hold his annual NFL Combine Instructional Camp Saturday night at Henderson Stadium.

It’s open to kids six through 17 and is also free. Registration starts there Saturday at 5 p.m. The camp runs from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

He moved back south to Troy, Alabama after high school, where he graduated from Troy University in 2011 with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. He interned in Huntsville at WAAY-TV before joining 41NBC. His passion is sports, and his favorite teams are the Auburn Tigers and Troy Trojans. On the weekends you can catch Tucker watching college football on Saturdays and NASCAR on Sundays!
