Peach County football player dies in car crash

BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Peach County High School student died Saturday night after a car accident.

Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks tells 41NBC it happened around 8:30 on Moseley Road.

18-year-old Raekwon Smith, a senior on the school’s football team, was pronounced dead.

Rooks says three others were in the car and two of them were taken to the hospital. He wasn’t aware of their conditions.
