No. 5 Louisville (9-1, 7-1 ACC) @ Houston (8-2, 5-2 AAC)
Thursday, November 17 at 8 p.m. ESPN
It was supposed to be the matchup we couldn’t miss, a late season non-conference showdown with huge playoff implications.

Turns out, it’s lost its allure but still has playoff implications and could factor into the playoff committee’s final rankings.

A Louisville win would be its third against a team with a winning record:

Louisville 43, Houston 28

Actual Score: Houston 36, Louisville 10 (LOSS)

Arkansas State (5-4, 5-0 Sun Belt) @ Troy (8-1, 5-0 Sun Belt)
Thursday, November 17 at 9:30 p.m. ESPNU
Yeah I know.. most middle Georgians don’t care about this game, but those of us who went to Troy and Arkansas State do.

It’s the first-ever meeting of two 5-0 Sun Belt teams, and the winner (likely) takes the conference title.

Plus, if you’re a Georgia Southern fan, it’s a chance to see the Trojans in action before they visit Statesboro December 3:

Troy 38, Arkansas State 23

Actual Score: Arkansas State 35, Troy 3 (LOSS)

Louisiana-Lafayette (4-5, 3-3 Sun Belt) @ Georgia (6-4, 4-4 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 12:30 p.m. SEC NETWORK
The Ragin’ Cajuns are back in the Peach State after taking down Georgia Southern last Thursday.

They aren’t expected to put up too much of a fight here though.

UGA won the only series meeting 55-7 back in 2010:

Georgia 35, Louisiana-Lafayette 17

Actual Score: Georgia 35, Louisiana-Lafayette 21 (WIN)

Virginia (2-8, 1-5 ACC) @ Georgia Tech (6-4, 3-4 ACC)
Saturday, November 19 at 12:30 p.m. ACC NETWORK
Where did that come from last weekend, Georgia Tech?

This is the most unpredictable team in all of college football:

Georgia Tech 35, Virginia 21

Actual Score: Georgia Tech 31, Virginia 17 (WIN)

No. 23 Florida (7-2, 5-2 SEC) @ No. 16 LSU (6-3, 4-2 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 1 p.m. SEC NETWORK
It’s kind of weird that this game is at 1 p.m. on the SEC NETWORK, isn’t it?

ESPN had picked it back on October 8th (before Hurricane Matthew caused it to be rescheduled) and got to keep it.

Whatever. I’m just glad they’re playing:

LSU 23, Florida 13

Actual Score: Florida 16, LSU 10 (LOSS)

Georgia Southern (4-6, 3-3 Sun Belt) @ Georgia State (2-8, 1-5 Sun Belt)
Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m. ESPN3
The Eagles and Panthers have only met twice–Southern won in 2014 and State won in 2015–but the two fanbases already clearly dislike one another.

Don’t be surprised if Georgia State (with an interim head coach) pulls off the upset:

Georgia Southern 24, Georgia State 21

Actual Score: Georgia State 30, Georgia Southern 24 (LOSS)

Furman (3-7, 3-4 SoCon) @ Mercer (5-5, 3-4 SoCon)
Saturday, November 19 at 3 p.m. ESPN3
It’s the season finale for Mercer, and a chance to finish with a winning record.

Bobby Lamb moves to 2-1 against his alma mater and former employer:

Mercer 31, Furman 24

Actual Score: Mercer 27, Furman 24 (WIN)

No. 22 Washington State (8-2, 7-0 Pac-12) @ No. 10 Colorado (8-2, 7-1 Pac-12)
Saturday, November 19 at 3:30 p.m. FOX
Washington State and Colorado are last and next-to-last in winning percentage over the last decade, but this season, the Cougars and Buffaloes lead their respective Pac-12 divisions.

It’s the league’s No. 2 scoring offense against the league’s No. 1 scoring defense.

The home team wins:

Colorado 37, Washington State 36

Actual Score: Colorado 38, Washington State 24 (WIN)

Missouri (3-7, 1-5 SEC) @ Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 3:30 p.m. CBS
ESPN/SEC NETWORK got LSU-Florida, and CBS got stuck with this one.

Missouri beat Vanderbilt Saturday–its first win since September–but the Tigers will find rough footing on Rocky Top:

Tennessee 40, Missouri 24

Actual Score: Tennessee 63, Missouri 37 (WIN)

Chattanooga (8-2, 6-2 SoCon) @ No. 1 Alabama (10-0, 5-0 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 7 p.m. ESPN2
It’s an appealing matchup: one of the top teams in the FCS vs. one of the top teams in the FBS.

Just kidding:

Alabama 52, Chattanooga 0

Actual Score: Alabama 31, Chattanooga 3 (WIN)

Arkansas (6-4, 2-4 SEC) @ Mississippi State (4-6, 2-4 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 7 p.m. ESPNU
For the first time since 1982, Arkansas will close the regular season with back-to-back road games.
The Hogs haven’t beaten Mississippi State since 2011:

Arkansas 31, Mississippi State 28

Actual Score: Arkansas 58, Mississippi State 42 (WIN)

Alabama A&M (4-6, 4-5 SWAC) @ No. 15 Auburn (7-3, 5-2 SEC)
Saturday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. SEC NETWORK ALTERNATE
Auburn’s playoff chances are over, but the Tigers could still finish the regular season 9-3.

Should we expect a blowout here or another letdown? We’ll find out before long:

Auburn 45, Alabama A&M 7

Actual Score: Auburn 55, Alabama A&M 0 (WIN)

Ole Miss (5-5, 2-4 SEC) @ Vanderbilt (4-6, 1-5)
Saturday, November 19 at 8 p.m. SEC NETWORK
Vanderbilt really let me down by falling to Missouri last week.

Ole Miss let me down by beating Texas A&M.

Actually, a lot of teams let met down.  For the first time all season, I had more losses than wins:

Ole Miss 31, Vanderbilt 20

Actual Score: Vanderbilt 38, Ole Miss 17 (LOSS)

No. 9 Oklahoma (8-2, 7-0 Big 12) @ No. 14 West Virginia (8-1, 5-1 Big 12)
Saturday, November 19 at 8 p.m. ABC
Something has to give in this Big 12 matchup.

Oklahoma is 4-0 against West Virginia since the Mountaineers joined the conference (including a 2-0 mark in Morgantown) but has lost 10 straight true road games and 21 of its last 23.

It’ll be a good one:

Oklahoma 35, West Virginia 31

Actual Score: Oklahoma 56, West Virginia 28 (WIN)
