MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission is giving the community an opportunity to voice their opinions in Tuesday’s 20 year plan meeting.
The meeting will outline community goals, needs and opportunities, community work program, land use, transportation, housing, and economic development.
This is the first public forum the Planning and Zoning commission will be hosting, but it won’t the last. Tuesday kicks off the start of many public meetings.
Senior Planner, Gregory L. Brown, says it’s important to the commission to hear what the public has to say.
“It’s the public’s plan,” Brown said. “Each time you produce a plan for a community, it cannot be completed successfully unless you have input from all segments from the community.”
The Planning and Zoning commission will also be launching a website dedicated to the 20 year plan. The website will feature projects, updates and dates and times for future meetings. You can visit Maconbibbcompplan.com by the end of the week.
The first meeting will be held Tuesday, November 29th at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center Commission Chambers (700 Poplar St.) from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
