Man found dead in a ditch on Pio Nono Avenue

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A body was found in a ditch on a bicycle and partially submerged in water.

He was found on Pio Nono avenue near the Broadway intersection around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon.

Bibb  County Sheriff’s deputies are calling this a suspicious death because they don’t know if the man drove off the road or if it was a result of road rage.

The victim’s name will not be released until his family has been notified.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

She started her career as the News Director/Anchor at WDNN-TV in Dalton, Georgia. Then, she became an Anchor/Reporter at WNEG-TV in Toccoa, Georgia. She spent four years as a Digital Journalist at WJTV-TV in Jackson, Mississippi. Some of Tracy's most memorable stories include former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour's unprecedented pardons, the Mississippi Legislature's efforts to close the state's only abortion clinic, and the Mississippi River's historic flooding in 2011. Tracy is thrilled to move back to the Peach State. She's excited to see what all Middle Georgia has to offer. Tracy loves hearing from viewers.
