MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office caught a man after he tried to rob the Subway on Eisenhower Parkway.
A Subway employee told investigators a man walked into the store wearing an orange ski mask and demanded money around 9 p.m. Thursday night. The suspect, who was possibly armed, was covering his right hand with clothing.
The employee told the suspect there was no money, so the armed robber fled.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect, because the Subway employee followed him.
Multiple deputies chased the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Michael Dewayne Easley, into an abandoned home on Harris Street and arrested him. According to deputies, Easley had a toy handgun on him.
He is charged with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.
