MACON, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT)-Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation is laying the ground work for more major upgrades on Rosa Jackson Recreation Center.
In addition to a new and more modern infrastructure for the old rec center, the goal this round of renovations is keeping up with the times and adding a computer lab.
“Before we closed it, it had a high volume of renovations…a high volume of basketball leagues, several community leagues, an after school program and different community events that were hosted there.”
With constant usage by community members, Rosa Jackson Recreation Center has established itself as the heart of many community involved give backs and activities. Its reopening in mid January, according to Walker is expected to be greatly anticipated.
