Baby dies after being left in hot vehicle in Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A baby who was hospitalized after being left in a vehicle in Milledgeville died Tuesday morning.

The Milledgeville Police Department says officers found 6-month-old Cyrus Gray in a vehicle outside a home on Brantley Way on August 28.

According to the 41 First Alert Radar, temperatures in Milledgeville were higher than 90 degrees when the baby was found. Gray was taken to Oconee Regional Medical Center and then to Navicent Health in Macon, where he died.

Milledgeville Police are investigating and the body will be sent to the GBI lab for an autopsy.
