MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three separate shootings occurred in Macon Sunday morning in a span of four hours.
According the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the first shooting happened just before midnight Saturday on Walmar Drive. Deputies say 36-year-old Tecovelin Starling and 24-year-old Emmanuel Stroud Jr were walking down the street when an unknown suspect started shooting. Starling was shot in the left leg and Stroud was shot in the stomach and left side of his head. Starling is in stable condition.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, says Stroud later died at the hospital in the ICU at 5:50 AM. He confirms this is the 20th homicide in Macon in 2017. In 2016, there were 20 homicides.
Deputy Clay Williams confirms Stroud Jr is the son of the man who went missing on Father’s Day, Emmanuel Stroud .
Before 1:00 AM
The second shooting happened just before 1:00 AM outside a house on Hatcher Place. Deputies say 30-year-old Rashaad Robinson, 27-year-old Tyrone Collins and 35-year-old Chidica Collins were at a party when someone started shooting.
Robinson was grazed on the back and left elbow, Tyrone was shot in the left thigh and Chidica was grazed on the left thigh and right foot. All three were taken to Navicent where they are in stable condition. There are no suspects at this time.
Before 3:30 AM
The third shooting occurred on Ibex Street just before 3:30 AM. Deputies say, 33-year-old Travis Brown was walking along Ibex Street when he was shot on the left side of his face. Brown was taken to Navicent where he is in stable condition.
