FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Pure Flavor plans on bringing fresh vegetables to your family.
The Canadian company is building a greenhouse in Peach County. The company will invest more than a $105,000,000 to build the greenhouse.
Pure Flavor will grow tomatoes and cucumbers and ship them to several states.
Jamie Moracci, President of this Canadian Company, said he’s excited to get business started.
“It’s been a great day. We’ve had great support from everybody in the area, from the state all the way down to Peach County and Fort Valley, so it’s been a fantastic day for us,” Moracci said.
He said the company decided to bring Pure Flavor to the southeast because the region presented many opportunities.
The Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture, Gary Black, agreed with Moracci.
“I think it might open the doors for other types of businesses like this,” Black said.
B.J. Walker, Executive Director of the Development Authority in Peach County, believes Pure Flavor will bring growth to the county.
“Letting people know that Peach County is open for business and that we’re putting deals together. We have I-75, you know four exits on the interstate, and just great opportunity here,” Walker said.
Moracci said the greenhouse will bring more to the company.
“So this facility here just supports the massive growth that we’ve had as a company, supplying fresh vegetables to the consumers across North America,” he said.
So soon as the greenhouse doors open, tomatoes and cucumbers will travel the country.
