Residents without water after huge water main break in East Macon


UPDATE (10/13): The Macon Water Authority restored service to around 200 customers who were without water Friday after a water main break. A boil water advisory is in effect for the customer who had water restored. The water authority must test the water, which takes about 24 hours.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A massive water main break has several residents in East Macon left now without running water.

It happened out on Ocmulgee East Blvd near the intersection of Riggins Mill Road. Macon Water Authority crews are out now working to fix the problem.

Water for residents in the area may be out for some time. We’ll update you with more as we get more information on the story.
