MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Governor Nathan Deal declared January 5th, 2018 as UGA Football Day.
Alabama and Georgia fans in Macon said they are excited for the game.
Caleb Brown, Alabama fan, said he’s ready to see Alabama bring home a win and Georgia should get ready.
“We get a chance to restore the order. You know, we lost a game to a real good Clemson team and this time, we get a chance to establish our identity as a program and I’m excited about that,” Brown said.
But Georgia Fan, Jeff Kori, said Brown should be prepared because Georgia has changed a lot since their 1980 National Championship Title.
“It’s grown, it’s improved. In the past two years its been immense growth. My son and I are huge dawg fans and it’s about time, “Kori said.
He said he has one message for Alabama fans who say they will beat Georgia on Monday.
“It’s a done deal. Go Dawgs!
Brown said he isn’t worried about what Alabama fans say.
“Talk is cheap. They haven’t shown me anything on film that extremely impressive. They beat a good Auburn team, but I don’t know what they’re about until they play,” Brown said. “The way I see it, we’re the best team in college football and if somebody claims to be better than us than they got to beat us.”
Two fans ready to see their team bring home the National championship title.
Both teams have played in the National Championship Game.
Alabama has 16 titles, with 2015 being their last time at the championship and Georiga has one championship title from 1980.
