(NBC NEWS) – A life-changing announcement for families with food allergies. Epi-pens will be easier to get, thanks to a new partnership between Walgreens and the drug company, Kaleo.

The Auvi-q injector, similar to the Epi-pen, will be available at Walgreens across the country starting now. It’s at no cost to people with commercial insurance.

According to the Food and Drug administration, the Auvi-q injector may come with different dosages from the Epi-pen and other products, so it is important to consult with a health care professional if switching to this device.
