MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Local first responders received a free lunch today.
From police and military to firefighters and EMS works, the Coliseum Health System in Macon invited all first responders out to a special meal in honor of their hard work and dedication.
Hospital staff members were also on hand to say thank you for serving.
“You know, they go into all kinds of situations everyday and keep us safe and get us help, and we just wanted to be able to return the favor,” said Liana Rogers, the EMS coordinator of the Coliseum Health System.
The lunch was held from 11am until 1pm, and was catered by Atlanta’s world famous The Varsity restaurant.
