MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) -What’s left of Florence is moving up into the northeast, bringing showers and storms to that region of the United States. Meanwhile, a high pressure system will build up across the East Coast, giving way to sunshine and higher temperatures.
There will be less clouds in the sky this week since this high pressure system will cause air to sink and compress. Cloud development requires moisture and rising air.
With more sunshine on the way, temperatures will be higher than normal for the next week. We’re looking at the mid-90’s through the weekend.
The rain chance will be minimal, though an isolated shower cannot be ruled out of the daily forecast.
