MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An organization that works with music artists in Georgia is working to raise awareness during National Suicide Prevention Month.

NOW Entertainment (Never Off Work Entertainment, LLC), is behind a campaign that’s raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

“We decided to support the AFSP because many of us have experienced loved ones committing suicide. I believe there’s many people who suffer from depression and other factors that can distort their thoughts into believing that life isn’t worth living anymore,” says Tony Fountain, founder of NOW Entertainment.

Fountain lost his cousin, Sam Barrett, to suicide. It happened hours after Fountain returned a gun to Barrett after checking out how much it cost for him.

“Rather than holding on to it, I took note of what type of gun it was and told him I would find out,” says Fountain.

The organizations released videos discussing suicide and its impact. The videos feature indie artists.
